- There are other ways to provide a teachable moment without wasting police resources. It's called parenting - or as my mother used to say "go to bed because I said so". The look in her eyes and the sound of her voice told me it was not a time to clown around trying to challenge her.

- Hollywood always embellishes a story to make it more interesting and possibly more accepted culturally. Michael Oher has often said he did not like the portrayal of him as a child-like teen. I suppose that was the script writer's way of making him look innocent and teddy bear like.

- If the man took time to build a bunker, he was probably believed to have had a gas mask for himself but maybe not one for the child. Since the child was on medication, gas may have been severely detrimental to him. I'm so happy this child is safe.
